Almost. 

The desktop computer is the only ‘not portable’ device on here, so it doesn’t exactly line up with a DSLR. Pros & enthusiasts still have portable computer needs, so what we’re really talking about is the death of the ‘consumer laptop.’ I’ve been saying since the iPad announcement that this will eventually be the end of the MacBook, and probably the MacBook Air. But the top of the line MacBook Pro? Not going away any time soon.

And, like your cameraphone, it’s going to sneak up on you. But one day, pretty soon, you’ll realize that you haven’t used your laptop in days. That you tend to grab your iPad first whenever you need to visit a website or answer email. That your laptop never leaves your desk anymore.
